Good shrimp. Abundant hushpuppies. Really really busy on Sunday.

I love this place so much, the mini hushpuppies are to die for.

Food is outstanding here! Love the flounder and hush puppies! Not a huge fan of their fried corn. No batter on the corn. Fried corn is supposed to have batter on it. Just a little FYI for management of Fishtales.

I had a very poor experience with this place. I ordered the supreme platter which is supposed to come with clam strips, popcorn shrimp, deviled crab, scallops, a choice of fish and 2 sides. The order came to just over $17. I tipped the change of a $20. I got to the car (where we were going to eat) and looked at what was in the bag. I had my 2 sides and 2 deviled crab, 1 sm pc of fish 5 scallops and some hush puppies. I took it all back in and told the lady who then said they didn't have clams strips at this time but they would give me extra shrimp... I asked her for another pic of fish and she was going to charge me $2.99 for that. So I agreed since I was sharing with my husband. All said, we ate our meal in the parking lot without napkins and plastic ware.. The food wasn't terrible but had no seasoning. I can't recommend this place.

Great food and equally great service

Best seafood restaurant. Hands down

You won't find a better seafood restaurant in this area! It had been a long time since I had last visited Fishtales, but the food was just as good as I remembered. I highly recommend the fried seafood platter. The fried scallops are delicious. The macaroni and cheese is my favorite side, my kids loved it. I believe I will try the crab pot on my next visit.

I am often hesitant to order ribs at a restaurant that isnt primarily a BBQ restaurant but I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the full rack I got at Fishtales. I got some at Woodbooger a couple of weeks ago and they had more fat than meat but the rack I got from Fishtales today had very little fat and was moist and juicy meat falling off the bones. Can't wait to return and get them again.

Food sat in back while people waited for over 20 minutes. Finally received food 3 tables all at the same time. The coleslaw tasted ransid, the popcorn shrimp was under cooked and tastless. The catfish was off colored and breading had a burnt taste. I wanted it to be good!

Always great food. We drive over an hour very regularly to get fishtales. Every time we go we get plenty to go and eat it for several days.

Great food and service.

Worse food my wife and I ever ate. $28 totally wasted. Both her clams and my fish was white, not the inside but the outside. Asked waiter about it and he said it because they changed the grease yesterday. Offered to do nothing. Girl asked when i checked out if it was all good and I replied absolutely not. Offered to do absolutely nothing. The salad was even horrible. I mean horrible.

Great local place but don't be in a hurry!

This spot is truly a local gem and well worth the price! In fact we ate here for less than 25 for 3 people. The potatoe soup is amazing, the catfish fried to perfection and the chicken tenders were some of the best I've had. For casual dining it's great. They also have a full bar if you need some libations with your food. It's tucked in back. If you're in Norton, stop in!

Very good food . No complaints awesome service fast and friendly too

I just wasn't impressed. I had heard a lot about it being under new management so we were excited to try it out. The atmosphere was much nicer, update decorations, etc. The staff was friendly. But the food wasn't special. Not as exciting as I had hope for. Just kinda blah.

We used to come here a lot.. Especially when travelling by in the area..And then we made the trip just to eat there one weekend and it was terrible....So we quit stopping by on our way back from Tn...Well the last time we came through we decided to give it one more try..... It has changed hands I think. It was like a New place.. The food was delicious.... We will be coming back soon !!!

Best place to eat.

Food was great. We got popcorn shrimp, jumbo shrimp, and chicken tenders. For sides we got baked potato, fried corn, homestyle fries, and hush puppies. Again, everything was good. They also have good BBQ platters. Portions were huge. Their hush puppies may be the best I've had anywhere. Definitely give this place a try.

Eating here since the early 90’s, never been better. So clean and nicely decorated with great tasting food. Portions are huge and portions price is more than fair. Excellent local restaurant for SWVA!

My favorite all time restaurant of all. Love this place.

It was one of my favorite restaurants till a few years ago, when it went to pot. The food and service became terrible, so I hadn't been back in a couple of years. But now it is under new management and is as good as ever if not better. Probably my favorite place to eat in the Norton Wise area.

Well I work here , so my input might not count. But the food here is great I've been ordering food deserts and trying the different drinks here. My kids love the food. My roommate does too. Also you definitely get your money's worth, usually end up taking some home. I also work with a great bunch of people. We all work as a team, make sure everything is fresh, and makes sure everything is very clean. Everyone from the owner, management team, and my fellow coworkers are friendly, professional, respectful & cares about their customers.

Outstanding place. Had crab legs they were fantastic. Service was great too.

Fishtales is nice little North Carolina style seafood restraunt. The food is good and the wait staff is very nice. They have a added a nice bar to the restraunt and recently remodeled. The place has a nice friendly atmosphere. The only thing missing is the smell of the Atlantic and an ocean breeze.

Excellent Food Friendly and helpful an excellent service. Didn't have to wait for food long at all. We will differently be back an hope this helps to send more business your way

I had been to Fishtales about 25 years or so, (give or take a few years . I remember that the food was good, I had forgotten just how good. Mark and I stopped there about 3 weeks ago as we were coming back from Cumberland, KY. Mark had never been there before. But believe me, when we left, we left full and very well satisfied with our food. Even though we don't live that close to Norton, Mark said it would be worth the trip just to go back again.

The food was delicious! Our server was awesome he went out of his way to keep us happy! The raw oysters tasted fresh and the catfish was amazing! Also the baby hush puppies were amazing, I have never seen hush puppies that small but it sure did pack a good punch!

Will you please open another Fishtails in Bristol ? Maybe the Pinnacle or anywhere!Miss the one in Bristol very much and I know many others do also !

Ate here for lunch and it was delicious! So happy they redid it! It is so clean and inviting now thanks to the management 👏👏
